Don’t Be That Girl
The Story
Remember that Girl who didn’t drink that often but when she did she’d really get loaded. She said that she wanted to make her party nights “worth it”. She’d do a lot of shots in a short period of time trying to get drunk fast; and when she got there it’s like she was another person. She’d get emotional and pick a fight with anyone around her. But she was always pushing herself further the next time.
What’s the Big Deal?
Just because she didn’t drink that often doesn’t give her green light to get totally wasted when you do drink. Drinking excessively when your body isn’t used to it can lead to alcohol toxicity.
What Could Go Wrong?
Alcohol affects inhibitions and decision making skills; leading many people to do and say things under the influence of alcohol that they would never do when sober. Far too often friendships and relationships are broken because of what someone said when they were drunk. In university you’ll meet people that may be your life-long friends, if you can stay in control.
Don’t Be That Girl
University is a time to party right? You need a social life; it can’t be about school all of the time. But there is a time and a limit for everything. It’s about balancing your academic and social lives evenly.
